The challenge
Three buildings were being refurbished and the existing split and VRV systems needed replacing. Offices change over time, so the new system had to be easy to reconfigure, serve individual rooms and keep noise to a minimum.
The solution
High-velocity air handling units provide heating, cooling and ventilation to individual rooms on four levels. Flexible ducting is snaked through ceiling spaces and wall cavities to discreet room outlets, and the layout can be reconfigured as the use of the building changes.
The result
High-efficiency EC fans deliver around 70% savings on running costs compared with AC fans. The outlets are unobtrusive and operating noise is kept low, which matters in a working office.
